Treatment of penile ulcer:
First of all, it's recommended to visit your family doctor to assess your condition and detect the diagnosis after clinical examination and then treat you accordingly. In case of syphilis, Penicillin IM injection once will be effective to treat the condition. Further antibiotics and/or antiviral medications can be prescribed according to the condition. If there is pain, Cataflam tablets twice daily for 5 days can be used.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made by undergoing clinical examination by your doctor. Further tests including CBC, Dark field microscopy for 1ry stage, PRP or VDRL for 2ry stage of syphilis, culture & sensitivity tests if there is discharge from the ulcer, PCR for viral infection and biopsy in some cases.
