Hi dr.
I want you to see my bird issue
Today morning I woke up to give my almost 2 month alexandrine parrot food ( sirilak ) and I found 3 feather that are fallen down from his wings, after 7 hours I returned to see him and I found out that he dropped 7-10 feathers. I don’t know what to do and what caused this
Note:
I changed the food type from 2 days , from verselaga A21 to A18.
Because A21 was out of stoke.
I also was traveling so I took him with me in a small cage
The feathers are falling from the growth point
Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?

According to the clinical symptoms of bird illness and the case history of the alwxandrine parrot , the bird needs the following treatments
Try do not change the food quickly, because that will affect at metabolic process in the digestive system of the parrot
lack of salts and vitamins and injury to external parasites such as insects and fungus cases falling feathers
Examine the body of the bird well to make sure it is free from small parasitic insects
multivitamin powder such as super vit 100gm is recommended by dose therapeutic 0.5mg/300 ml of drinking water daily for five days
use also diluted Betadine spray in all parts of bird body once time daily for 3 days
medication for worms periodically such ascazine or piprazine powder
these medicines avilable in veterinary clinics
