What is Keto diet?


keto diet recommend to eat very few carbs (that are quickly broken down into blood sugar) and only moderate amounts of protein (excess protein can also be converted to blood sugar), then, ketones are produced in the liver, from fat and they are then used as fuel throughout the body, including the brain.
 
in keo diet, you shouldn't consume more than 20g of carcohydrates, you diet well based on protein and healthy fats, such as Meat, fish, Eggs, Nuts, high-fat sauces, also low-carb like cauliflower, cabbage, avocado, broccoli and zucchini, Butter , high-fat cheese, high-fat yogurts
ketogenic diet recommend to consume 75% fat, 20% protein, 5% carbohydrate from your total energy expenditure

dear, I need to know more informtion to calculat your TEE and your requirement from macronutrients, like gender, age, and your physical activity rate per week

Losing weight, female, 38, going to boot camp 4 time a week for 1hour it’s a general circuit., not so active durind the day. Hope this is enough to give me my macros.

Dear, your TEE about 2000 kcal/day 
75% fat =166g = 33 serving of fat, 1 serving size of fat equal:
  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil: Canola, olive, corn, safflower, soybean, coconut, etc. 
  • 2 teaspoons Peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 1 tablespoon Salad dressing, diet margarine, nuts, seeds,
  • 2 tablespoons Guacamole, light salad dressing, shredded coconut

20% protein = 100g = 14 serving of protein,  1 serving size of protein equal:
  • 1 ounce, cooked and trimmed :Chicken or turkey, beef, ham, lamb, goat, fish or shellfish, game, luncheon meat, etc. May also count cheese or vegetarian meat substitutes.
  • 2 Egg whites 
  • 1 Egg, extra large
  • 1/2 cup Egg, extra large
  • 1/2 cup Beans (also contain starch/carbohydrate): Black, pinto, white, kidney, chickpeas, lentils, split peas, baked beans, or refried beans, Green soybeans/edamame (low in carbohydrate)
  • 1/3 cup Tofu or hummus
  • 1/2 ounce Nut butter: peanut, almond, sunflower, sesame
  • 2 tablespoons Nuts or seeds: pumpkin, sunflower, almonds, walnuts, pecans, pistachio, etc. 
  • 3 ounce or 1/3 cup Ricotta, cottage cheese or Paneer 

5% carbohydrate = 25g = 1.5 serving of carbohydrate, 1 serving size of  carbohydrate equal:
  • 1 ounce 1 slice Bread (whole wheat is best), bagel, mini muffin, dry pasta, Cold cereal, amounts will vary from 1/4 cup to 1 cup so check label for suggested serving size.
  • 1/2 cup cooked grains, 1/4 uncooked Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, rice, bulgur wheat, buckwheat groats, pasta, polenta, quinoa, millet
  • 1/2 cup cooked, 1/4 cup uncooked Dried beans or pulses: lentils, split pea, black-eyed-peas, red beans, garbanzo, mung beans (sprouted or not), etc.
