We would like to inform you that if your wife tried to hurt herself then this due to a big stress she suffers from, and if you have dispute between each other then this problem affects on her badly. So you have to solve the problem to solve its effects.

As you mentioned she may suffers from depression it is a mixed feeling between sadness, isolation and frustration. The symptoms are:

-          Sever nervousness and inability to relax.

-          Feeling of fatigue.

-          Eating and sleeping disorder and the desire to cry

-          Feeling sad, anxiety and unstable mood

-          The inability to express feeling for others or to accept other’s feelings

-          Inability to concentrate, forgetfulness and mind distraction, and sometime the desire to suicide

If she suffers from these symptoms, then she should go to a psychologist to examine her case and determine if the situation requires medication or not, and determine the appropriate medication with appropriate dosage. After medical treatment during 21 days then she will be able to get rid of this status, then you must be patient to solve that.

Moreover, you have to help her to defeat depression and replace it with happiness.

-          Practice the activities which make her feel happy join your close friends and set her goals to give her life hope and optimism.

-          Stay away from any source of stress or depression.

-          Play sports will help her to get rid of negative energy inside her.

Note that, if you stay beside her and understand her status, that will help her to skip this problem and will help her very well to solve that situation.
