My son is 8 years old but very thin. He is a competitive swimmer and a tennis player so health is very important for him. One thing that he eats breakfast but don't eat any thing during school lunch break untill he comes home 2:30 and do lunch. I tried all varities but alas he don't eat in school. What u suggest please, thanks

Thinness

The child makes a physical effort that should be compensated by eating additional amounts of food, where the energy that he has done during the exercise should be compensated to avoid thinness and weight loss and therefore be careful to feed him in a proper nutrition.

 

Guidelines for proper nutrition for children to overcome thinness

- Provide the child with school meals that he wants and loves.

- Raising awareness of the kid of the importance of healthy nutrition.

- Ask help from his friends to share food with each other.

- Ask help from his teacher in the school or his coach for sports activities to raise awareness of the importance of compensation of energy spent during the exercise, for healthy growth.

- Consult the doctor with an appetizer and nutritional supplements for children that help him to gain weight.

- Providing food at home to the kid in the form of small and frequent meals so that he consumes a larger amount without feeling over-satiety.

- Avoid drinking liquids before and during meals.
