The remanence of old traditions has a deep impact on some societies in modern times

Mr. Salameh Al-SaiedGreetings,,,Allow my to elaborate; I wish to thank you and commend your ethical and scientific attitude. I should admit, the word is strange and rarely used. A colleague had suggested to replace the word with remnant instead of remanence. In the context of my speech I preferred remanence because it has the connotation of something remaining with an effect (like the remaining effect of a magnet) while remnant indicates only the remaining of something. Best Regards

Welcome again,
You are right my precious client, remanence is stronger in meaning than remnant. Best choice to make your speech better.
