Nutrition for healthy heart:

  • Increase youe physical activity daily, choose what ever you like.
  • Quit smoking immediately if you are smoker.
  • Stay away from any kind of food that contains trans fats or high content of cholestrol, alternate them by food items that are high in unsaturated fat (healthy fats) like olive oil, avocado and nuts.
  • From the CHO group, choose items with whole wheat.
  • Vegetables and friuts are the most important group, try to have from them in every meal you take.
  • Prefare fish more than meat and chicken, as htey are high in healthy fats and omega 3.
  • Take low fat or skimmed mile and milk produts. Avoid the whole fat products.
  • While preparing food, don't fry, but try to use grill, boil and cook in the oven. And don't froget to use fat while cooking in a very little amounts.
