I am a woman 55 years old and seem to have a UTI my doctor consulted by phone prescribed Monuril 3g (fosfomycin) but I still feel burning and pain. Can I do a rapid test strip or not 3 days after the antibiotic?

Treatment of UTI
It is common symptom due to many factors and causes and it is related to bacterial infections at most cases. You can continue taking the mentioned antibiotic or take CEFURIXIME 500 mg twice daily for one week. If there is no response you can do urine culture to determine the causative agent and proper antibiotic . You have to stop antibiotics one week before urine culture
