HPV vaccination schedule
HPV is one of the leading causes of cervical cancer that is being transmitted through unsafe sexual intercourse, the virus is a DNA virus that reside in the mucosa of the Cervix for a long time to start producing uncontrolled cells in the shape of polyps that transform later in to malignant cells to cause cervical cancer which is hearlding significant morbidity and mortality. Recentrly HPV vaccination was recommended for boys and girls to prevent HPV infection starting at the age of 9 years with the second dose being 6-12 months after the first dose, if you cant stick to the usual schedule you are adviced to give 2 doses 6 months apart in the future when you get access to a vaccination center.
Cervical cancer screening in sexually active females
Cervical cancer present with signs of vaginal bleeding and spotting especially during intercourse, if so the patient should have PAP smear and if positive the biopsy is warrented.
HPV prevention guidelines
Our advice
The child should have a regular diet rich in minerals and vitamins , and have regular exercise
