How to treat high creatinine  levels

the GFR should be assessed by the nephrologist and if it is below 15 or if urea or potassium  is too high then dialysis should be done to remove excess water , urea and toxins from the body and the cause of high creatinine may be dehydration and it is treated by drinking enough water and in sever cases intraveous fluid may be given and the cause may be drugs like ACEI like captopril in case of renal artery stenosis and the drug should be stopped or dose modification by the physician and renal artery stenosis is treated by dilating the artery by catheter

How to diagnose high creatinine  levels

GFR should be calculated by the physician to assess the severity of the case and urea and potassium  should be done also abdominal ultrasonography should be done to assess the size of the kidney and to exclude the presence of renal artery stenosis and to exclude kidney stones also urin analysis should be done to exclude  urinary tract infection

dehydration
renal failure
urinary tract infection
renal artery stenosis
drugs like NSAIDS

what is the symptoms of high creatinine  levels

low urin volume
no passage of urin
shortness of breath
swelling of the eyelid or leg
in dehydration there will be dizziness
