Treatment of Fever in children 
Fever is a common symtome of many infectious diseases of viral or bacterial origin, the treatment of fever relies on the treatment of the underlying cause by a series of history and physical examination after consultation of a pediatrician especially if fever did not respond to anti pyritics after 48 hrs of treatment . If your baby is not tolerating the oral intake, he can have a rectal Supp of Paracetamol 300 mg every 8 hrs or Ibuprofen 100 mg supp every 6 hrs without concern of the last dose of oral soultion that was vomited .
Investigations 
After proper physical exam of Ear , Throat and chest , CBC should be done to detect leucocytosis, Urine analysis if pt had dysurea and CXR if cough is present 
Causes 

• Upper respiratory tract infection 
• Tonsillitis 
• Chest infection 
• Urianry tract infection
