3. loss weight if you are obese
4. exercise regularly 
5. usually pain killers are used to releive gout pain and symptoms such as :
- ibuprofen
- Indomethacin
6. in case of high levels of uric acid in blood ( which is a factor to cause gout ) , doctor may prescribe medications such as Colchicine
