Hello Dr my kids she has gastric acid reflux...

Treatmen of gastric acid reflux:

  Gastric acid reflux can be treated by conservative management as avoiding stress, getting enough water daily, avoiding salts, avoiding smoking, raising head when sleep, avoid immediate sleeping after eating, or exercise after eating, and you may need omeprazole 20 mg twice daily to treat gastritis, and if there is H.pylori infection, you can take augmentin 500 mg three times daily and flagyl 500 mg three times daily.
If there is no response, you may need surgical intervention.

Diagnosis of the cause of gastric acid reflux :

It depends on the clinical examination by a gastroenterologist and investigations as H.pylori for bacterial infection, upper endoscope to detect gastritis and to rule out hiatus hernia and taking biopsy if possible, ALT,AST for liver diseases.

Symptoms of gastric acid reflux:

• Abdominal pain
• Burning sensation
• Chest pain
• Dyspnea
• Dysphagia
