My 3 yr old son is Asthmatic. He is having a bad episode of asthma right now. I am giving him ventolin through the spacer at the moment, which helps him for about an hour. And then his wheezing and deep breathing returns. The question is how often can I give my toddler Ventolin through the spacer and when is it too much?

what is the expected dose of Ventolin during asthma session ?
the recommanded dose is : 1- 2 puff per 4 - 6 hours , usually 1 puff is enough
- dont exceed 12 puffs daily
can you use Ventolin as preventing method ?
if exercise or heavy activity expected , you can give your child a puff half an hour before the expected acitivity
General advices :
1. avoid smoking areas
2. avoid dusty weather
3. drink plenty of water and vitamin C drinks and honey
4. dont take porhibited medications such as aspirin and beta-blockers
