What is the appropriate treatment?
Since you've done the pregnancy test and it was negative, you should have a medical examination with the doctor to determine the cause of the delay, as the treatment depends on the cause. Treatments such as duphaston pills are usually used for a period to go down and then continue using birth control pills to organize your menstrual cycle after consulting a specialist doctor . But if the cause is identified, such as PCOS or hormonal disorders, birth control pills can be used to regulate the menstrual cycle. It is advised to rest and take enough sleep, exercise regularly to reduce weight, and follow a good diet rich in vitamins and minerals, and avoid stress and psychological pressure as possible
Which medical exams might be performed?
It is advised to undergo a medical examination by a gynecologist and obstetrician. Complete blood test for infection. TSH thyroid hormones, as well as testosterone, prolactin, FSH and LH hormones, to detect hormonal disorders. Pelvic ultrasound can also be performed
Causes of late or irregular menstruation?
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Polycystic ovaries
Early ovarian failure
Stress and anxiety
Malnutrition
Thyroid disorders
Hormonal disorders
Contraceptive
Advice ?
Follow up with a gynecologist to assess your condition
