UTI treatment

It is one of the symptoms affects a large proportion of people of both sexes due to various reasons. In the beginning, we recommend drinking more water at a normal daily rate of not less than 3 liters of water per day and avoiding eating salty food to avoid the proportion of salts and deposits in the urethra,  leaving drops of urine at the end of urination. It is also advised to avoid smoking as well. From a pharmacological point of view, it is possible to use a drug that disinfects the urethra, such as the drug UTISED TABS, twice a day to cleanse the urinary tract . In the case of a urinary tract infection, an antibiotic drug such as ciprofloxacin 500 mg can be used once a day for seven days to treat any infection of the urinary tract.

Required investigations

requesting a urinalysis test to exclude the presence of salts or inflammation in the urinary tract. UREA & CREATININE kidney function tests can also be ordered to check on them.  an ultrasound may be requested to exclude the presence of stones in the ureter and kidneys, along with a sonar image of the prostate if the patient is male

Symptoms of UTI

• Painful urination
• Difficulty and interrupted urination

• Nausea and vomiting

Treatment of urinary tract infection:

The best management is determined by doing urine culture to identify the best antibiotic to treat infection, and after taking the culture, you can start with the following medication levofloxacin 750 mg once daily

Dignosis of urinary tract infection:

It depends on the clinical examination of your doctor and investigations as urine analysis and urine culture, and renal function tests ( urea, creatinine ).

Symptoms of urinary tract infection:

• Dysuria
• Burning sensation
• Hematuria
• Back pain
• Lower abdominal pain
• Bad urine smell

In addition to taking medications, you have to drink good amount of water daily and avoid salts.
