Constipation is a common occurrence among children and its due to several reasons, and  medical exam is important in the event that the problem continues, but it is mostly temporary and resolves in time. It is important to start treatment by changing the diet of the child, by increasing the amount of fibers in the diet , which can be got from vegetables and fruits, sometimes doctors may prescribes Glycerin suppositories which  can be used to soften the stools. Enemas are also helpful, such as polyethylene glycol. Some of causes may results from an underlying such as anal fissure or prolapse of the rectum or infection,   Hirschsprung's disease and other diseases. Surgery may be required if there is no improvement.

 

Medical diagnosis:

Through the clinical examination and the detailed medical history, the necessary tests can be required, e.g. CBC in case of infections, in addition to organ function tests such as the kidneys, to exclude dehydration or associated diseases, it is also possible to do imaging such as x-rays or take samples from the rectum if there is a suspicion of a diseases.
