What's the immunoturbidimetric of urine test ?
It's part of urine evaluation, that uses the classical antigen-antibody reaction, in order to determines the amount of protein in the urine usually the albumin
What's the normal reading of albumin in the urine should be?
A normal amount of albumin in your urine is less than 30 mg/g. Anything above 30 mg/g may mean you have kidney disease
How is it classified?
Microalbuminuria is defined as levels of albumin ranging from 30 to 300 mg in a 24-h urine collection,Overt albuminuria, macroalbuminuria, or proteinuria is defined as a urinary albumin excretion of ≥300 mg/24 h.
Causes of Microalbuminuria:
It usually indicate kidney damage, usually by underlying disease such as :
- High blood pressure
- Obesity
- metabolic syndrome
- Genetic inherited kidney diseases
- Type I and type II diabetes
