Symptomes and treatment of heavy menses 
Menstural cycle is a normal physiological process that begins with secreation of Estrogen that induce partial proliferation of the endometrium till the ovulation where the corpus luteum begins to produce progestrone that induce complete proliferation of the endometrium till  the ovum not fertilized and progestrone wans and the bleeding happen. In cases of endometrial hyper proliferation the flow will be higher and longer and can be reduced using Diosmin tab three times a day from 5 days prior to menses till the end of menstural cycle, Consult Gynecologist for further investigations 
Investigations 
After proper physical exam, CBC should be done to detect low platelt and anemia, Coagulation profile of PTT, INR should be done, Hormonal assay inculde Progestrone, Estrogen, fsh, LH , Ultrasound should be done to detect endometrial hyperplasia and ovarian polycystic disease. D&C procedure with examination of endometrium to detect any histological disturbance  
Causes 

• Polycystic ovary 
• Endometrial hypoerplasia 
• Low platelt 
• Coagulopathy
