Treating constipation in children:
Constipation is a common problem among children and it is happing due to several causes, so what's important is the medical presentation of the examinationin the clinic, but it is mostly temporary and resolves with time. It is important to start treatment by changing the child's diet, by restricting it to breast milk and avoiding formula, especially within the first 6 months of birth. Glycerin suppositories can be used to soften the stools. Enemas are also helpful, such as polyethylene glycol. The constipation may also be due to pathological causes, and often it is the result of the presence of diseases such as a fissure or prolapse of the rectum or infection , Hirschsprung's disease and other diseases. Surgery may be required if there is no improvement.
