Symptomes and treatment of Latent TB
TB is a special bacterial infection that infect lung to cause TB penumonia that result in cough, fever, night sweats and chest pain. Its atypical bacterial infection that is hardly eliminated that need prolonged treatment to ensure eradication of the bacterial infection from the lungs. After resolution of the Acute TB infection, there will be a risk for latent TB infection where the remaining bacili got reactivated with the immune system drops, and its associated with similar symptomes and need to be diagnosed and treated according to pulmonologist advice
Required investigations
After proper physical exam, CBC should be done to detect infection, Sputum culture to detect bacterial bacili, Chest CT to detect chest infiltrations and ECG to detect any changes in cardiac rhythm.
