The quantity is normally from 2 to 5 ml, its normal color is either yellow or opalescent, it has an acrid smell
At human body temperature, it liquefies in one hour, and the pH is from 7.2 to 8.
Its concentration of sperm is variable from 40 to 200 million per mm3.
Live sperm forms represent at least 75% of the sperm
The motile spermatozoa initially represent 80% of the observed cells, after 30 minutes at least 50% are still moving, and after 60 minutes the number remains the same, and after three hours no less than 30% are moving.
There may be abnormal shapes (two heads, two or more whips, no head or absence of a flagellum, etc.) but they should not represent more than 30% of the sperm.
