what is Panadol Extra :
- its a compound that contains Paracetamol 500mg which acts as painkiller and antipyretic ,and caffeine 65mg as stimulant
what is the dose of paracetamol in 9 pills of Panadol Extra:
- nine pills of panadol extra contain about 4.5 gram of paracetamol which is not the toxic dose
paracetamol toxic dose:
- paracetamol toxic dose is 8 gram a day ,more than 8 gram day signs and symptoms of liver failure will develop
signs and symptoms of liver failure:
- nasuea
- vomiting
- severe abdominal pain
- jaundice
diagnosis:
- based on signs and symptoms, physical examination and some tests such as liver enzymes such as ALT,AST,ALP, coagulation profile (PT,PTT,INR), And drug level at the blood
how paracetamol toxicty is managed:
