I was tested positive for covid 19 almost three...
I was tested positive for covid 19 almost three weeks ago....the first time I made a CT scan it was good. The second time It was Co rads 3....Tested my d dimer and it was 0.8 a week ago. A couple of days ago, I started suffering from severe chest pain that doesn't go and I cough for like 5 or 7 minutes non stop.
I went to the doctor and he said that there is a probability for the presence of blood clot in the lungs but refused to make a scan cuz he believed it is better not to.
I decide to repeat my d dimer test to give me a hint. It decreased from o.8 to o.7....my question is....is this an enough proof that I don't suffer from Pulmonary embolism or should I go through scan?

D-Dimer = 0.8 to 0.7 :
The D-Dimer is in the normal range and it can exclude pe if it's negative . But you have to do clinical assessment and lab and imaging test to diagnose the cause of chest pain .

- Take medications as prescribed as Antipyretic and Antibioitcs or other medications .
- Anticough medications such as Tussibal syrup three times per day with other medications such as Azithromycin500 once daily for 5 days
- Notify the nearest medical center if your condition has become worse
