Treatment of back pain
It is common type of pain due to many factors and causes. Firstly, avoid heavy works and lifting heavy objects. Take hot water shower daily to relax your muscles. Massage your back with topical analgesic cream like FAST RELIEFE GEL three times daily to relieve your pain in addition to oral analgesics like ibburpofen 400 mg as needed. It is muscular pain at most cases.
Investigations to do
Generally, you can start analgesic before investigations. IF there is no response you can do back x ray or MRI to diagnose causes like Disc.
