Treatment :
- if you are positive for COVID-19 but you are noy suffering from any symptoms you should follow some instructions such as avoidance of contact with others, take a rest, avoidance of physical stress, drinking warm liquids such as ginger, and honey with lemon, gargling with warm water and salt frequently during the day, rinsing the nose with saline more than once daily, intake plenty of Vitamin C and Zinc, and use a nasal spray such as fluticasone twice daily, with an anti-decongestant such as Congestal tablet three times a day, an anti-allergic such as a Loratidine tablet daily before bed, and an antibiotic such as azithromycin 500 mg tablet daily for five days,and pay attention to any symptoms develop such as shortness of breath or fever that doesn't respond to antipyretics which requires a doctor consultation
How is the diagnosis made:
- The diagnosis is made by taking the patient's history, discussing the symptoms that the patient is experiencing and making a clinical examination for him, and then running some tests such as a complete blood test to assess the white blood cell count, a PCR examination to detect the virus in the respiratory system, an x-ray or CT image of the chest to exclude any chest infection
Symptoms of coronavirus:
Symptoms appear within 2-14 days of getting the virus and are as follows:
- High temperature
- cough
- Shortness of breath
- a headache
- Loss of the smell and taste
