Treatment of hand hotness and redness

It is common problem due to many factors and causes like heavy works everyday. Firstly, you have to get rest between works. Avoid compression on your hands and feet. Take analgesics like SEDPRIN tabs twice or three times daily to reieve pain. Also, you can take LYRICA 75 mg once daily to relieve your symptoms till seeing your doctor to determine cause.

Investigations to do

CBC to exclude anemia and follow up level of WBCs. ESR and CRP for inflammation of hands. You can do rheumatological tests like ANA and RF. X ray for your hand.

Causes

There are many expected causes like
  • Mechanical swelling
  • Arthritis of joints
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Increased ESR level
  • Gout
  • Other causes like compression on nerves

I did ANA and I got positive results at 1;1280 . This is seems very high ! And I am worried. All my other CBC tests , ESR and anti cpp are normal. The Rheumatoid factor is normal. I don’t really have any symptoms other than my hand , and this problem in my hands is very transient and goes away quickly. I have done the ANA test 1.5 years and it was negative. Any thoughts what’s going on ?

You have to do clinical assessment in the nearest medical center as ANA is not specific for any disease and your doctor will do few tests such as CBC , ESR and repeat the test if necessary . Other tests include Anticcp and other tests as Xray .
What is the treatment ?
Treatment depends on the cause and your doctor will presribe medications such as Calcium channel blockers for Ryanoud and analgeiscs for arhtritis .
