Atorvastatin
Atorvastatin Is one of the treating medications for hypercholestrolemia, its acting on a step limiting enzyme on cholestrol production that help in lowering cholestrol level in the blood. The starting recommended dose is 20 mg orally tablet once daily, it can be given in 40 mg daily if proper control of cholestrol below 200 mg /dl was not acheived. consult your family doctor for Followup
Warnings
The drug should be monitored closely every 3 months by measuring liver enzymes and should be never given to a patient with elevated liver enzymes, its contraindicated if there is an allergy to the drug component and in cases of pregnancy and lactation
