Hi, I was prescribed Diane 35 along with metformin...

diane 35 and metformin for pocs in the 1st month post diagnosis but i have spotting between periods what could be the cause ?
in this case the metformin is used to simulate ovulation and its usually dosent cause you to bleed in the periods intervals but as for diane its a contraseptive hormone that might cause irrigular vaginal bleedings and spotting so the cause of the spottingsa and breakthrough between periods in your case might be the diane 35 
what is the diane 35 ?
is a combination hormonal agent that  contains 

• cyproterone which is a chmical form of prgesterone hormone
• ethinyl esteradiol that takes the place of estrogen 

what is its used for ?
its used for the treatment of the hight levels of androgen in female body that is usually causes acne alonside PCOS  that is known to cause high androgen levels 
what are the side effects of diane 35 ?

• breast tenderness 
• headache 
• nausea and vomiting 
• mood swings 

what about the spotting and breakthough between periods during the use of the diane 35 ?
within the first 3 months the diane is usually causing vaginal spotting and mild bleeding then during the next months it stops as a side effect so its perfectly normal for the woman who takes diane 35 to have sporring and breakthrough between periods during the 1st 3 months of using the drug 
what is metformin and what is it used for ?
metformin is a drug that  belongs to a class of drugs that are called biguanides that are responsible for the controle of the level of glucose in the blood 
what is the metformin is used for ?
its used for the treatment of the idabetis mellitus type 2 and in case of PCOS  is used also to help the women with PCOS  to get pregnant as a  first line therapy to simulate ovulation
