I went to multiple doctors. I go to med school myself but im only in my 2nd year. 2 weeks ago I got an infection that felt like it was maybe pharyngeal tonsilitis. I went on to recover with 0 symptoms in 4 days. I would like to mention that i took a broad spectrum antibiotic (xithron) but i took the last pill almost a day late. Now, 2 days ago I got tenderness and swelling in my left cervical lymph node alone. I woke up after that with a bad wisdom tooth infection (it is yet to rupture) so i assumed it was periocoronitis and proceeded to treated my tooth. Later on tho, I would get chills and a fever of 39.5 throughout the day so I end up in the emergency room. I receive a bronchodilator shot, a voltaren shot and another antibiotic and i was prescribed the same xithron again. I was also asked for a CBC (finding microcystic hypochromic rbcs of normal mchc and count), a CRP (which was found to be 27.1) and a D-Dimer which was completely normal. The platelets were also normal yet my wbcs showed absolute lymphopenia. Another doctor adised me to go do a corona swab and I am currently waiting for my results, although I'm certain it isnt covid-19. May I get an opinion on this?
