Treatment of period delay
:It depends on the cause, so treatment may include conservative management by having good nutrition, avoid stress, drink good amount of water daily, doing regular exercise, or hormonal therapy as contraceptive medications, and may need surgery as treatment of cysts, fibroids.
And before taking any medication, you have to rule out pregnancy.
Diagnosis of the cause of period delay:
You have to visit a gynacologist for clinical examination and investigations as pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy before taking any medication, CBC to detect anemia and infections, abdomen and pelvis US to detect cysts, fibroids...etc, TSH, Free T4 for thyroid diease, and LH, FSH, Prolactin for hormonal problems.
