anemia can affect ovarian function preventing ovulation which can lead to menstrual irregularities or can cause infertility

How to treat anemia ?

treatment of anemia depend on its severity and the haemoglobin level so in severe cases where the hemoglobin is less than 8 then blood transfusion should be done and if the haemoglobin level is more than 8 then it can be treated by ferrous sulfate with adose of 325 mg every 8 hours for 2 to 3 monthes

How to diagnose anemia ?

you should have CBC done to detect the hemoglobin level and serum iron and ferritin and TIBC should be done to help in diagnosis and you should has fecal occult blood stool done to exclude presence of GIT bleeding

What are the causes of anemia ?

not eating enough iron in the food
blood loss as in piles or stomach ulcer
kidney disease
