I have diarrhea what can I do to stop it?

What is the treatment of diarrhea ?
Actually the are multiple reasons for diarrhea that could be viral, bacterial, parasitic or any chronic disease. So the treatment will be accordingly. First of all you should drink a plenty of water at least 3-4 litres per day to avoid getting dehydrated. If there is parasitic infections such as giardia or Amaeba, then the treatment will be METRONIDAZOLE 500mg for a week. In case of bacterial infections, Ciprofloxacin is a good choice. Furthermore, if the symptoms are severe, then you should go the nearest medical center to you for further assessment.
Diagnosis ?
History taking and physical exam to be taken by the doctor. Complete blood count to check for an elevation of WBC. Stool analysis and urea, creatinine and serum electrolyte
