Hi, I am a 17 year old girl and I have my question...
Hi, I am a 17 year old girl and I have my question related to my viginal bleeding. The bleeding is countinues till now making it 5 months also with a bad smell. The smell is not similar to blood tho. I have consulted a doctor 1 month ago and she said my thyroid was not normal so she made my medicine dose high. Before I take thyroxine 75 mg. Now she made it to 100 mg and asked me to visit her after 2 weeks I did so and did a blood test then asked me to come back after 3 days. When I visited her again my thyroid level went back to normal and told me the bleeding will stop wait 2 more weeks I waited but no result of the stopping of the bleeding. Please help me to know why this is happening.

vaginal bleeding maybe caused by other problems and medical condition
- having bad smell suggest infection
- prolonged bleeding suggest hormonal imbalance as well
what to do next :
visiting OBGYN and do more specific tests including :
1. vaginal swab
2. abdominal US
3. hormones levels : TSH /L H / FSH / PROLICTINE
what is the possible treatment options :
- for hormonal imbalance , doctor may suggest those medications to stop bleeding : dicynone
/ tranexamic acid , then it will be followed by hormonal balancing medication such as steronat or duphaston
- for vaginal infection, doctor may suggest those medications : vaginal fungal infection - itraconazole // bacterial infection : metrodinazole
