Hello, I have a coil IUD the day before yesterday I have been having painful abdominal painful very painful i even vomited yesterday I had eat rice and fried fish and some cakes which are made of bananas and flour, I had gas what can be the problem still now I have a little bit abdominal pain

How to treat the presence of abdominal pain and vomiting after IUD insertion
it may be due to gastroenteritis which vcan be treated by antibiotic like metronidazole or ciprofloxacin and it may be due to complication of the IUD insertion like uterine infection which should be treated by IUD removal by the physician and hospital admission and giving intravenous antibiotic like ceftriaxone and the cause may be uterine perforation which can be treated by surgical intervention
How to diagnose the presence of abdominal pain and vomiting after IUD insertion
you should be assessed by the gynecologist and has abdominal ultrasound done and if there is vaginal discharge the it should be examined and culture and sensitivity could be done and if there is suspicion in gastroenteritis then stool analysis can be done
