I had hepatitis c 15 years ago and was treated and...
I had hepatitis c 15 years ago and was treated and cured. I keep testing every year and PCR test is undetectable, went to a new doctor and he did antibodies test and told me u have HCV antibodies when indicates you have HCV. Told him antibodies will always be there you should do PCR. Need your advice please

If the antibody test positive that means you have been infected with HCV , in this situation you need additional test which is PCR test to detect the HCV RNA , if the PCR negative that means you were infected with HCV and the virus no longer in your body because you were cured it , and if the PCR test positive that means you know have the virus in your blood and you need treatmet
Treatment :
you should to avoid alcohol and medication that toxic to the liver , and you can use antiviral medication , in the last stage liver transplantation may added to treatmet , this treatment if the PCR still positive
