I have herpes simplex in my body and it caused me...
I have herpes simplex in my body and it caused me corneal ulcer 3 times in 5 months. The last time my cornea got perforated and had to make corneal transplant..
I am now putting strong cortisone eye drops in that eye 3 times a day to help the transplant heal faster.
Here is my question: Is it safe to use strong cortisone eye drops now gives that I have inactive herpes simplex in my body system now ?

Treatmert of herpes simplex eye infection :
by keep the eye clear , and avoid dust and smoke , and you can use Antiviral eye drops and tablet like acyclovir in compination with topical steroid , and the usage of steroid based on the nature of the disease , the status of epithelium and the location of infection , that means in herpes simplex epithelial keratitis the topical steroid contraindicated but in prolonged disease it can used
Diagnosis :
By taking full medical history , and doing clinical examination , CBC to detect infection , and take swap from the eye , and doing OCT
symptoms :
