does the umblical hernia affect on your pregnancy ? 
No , hernias doesn't actually results in abortion or any maternal problem . but pregnany may worsen your hernia . so we advise to not become pregnant while you have hernia . 
What are the investigations needed ?
your doctor will take a blood sample for CBC and b-HCG hormone level ,to make sure that there's no residual fetal part, you migh also be examined with an Ultrasound to exclude any uterine or ovarian problems .
