Doctor my mother is 71 yrs old she was diagnosed...
Doctor my mother is 71 yrs old she was diagnosed with diabetes on 14th of Oct. 2021 with A1c of 13.1%. We had since then controlled her diet and brought down sugar levels to 110 fasting and 150 after food. We then did ultrasound for her abdomin to check on her liver and found it to be a fatty liver which we are on low carb diet n exercise to control it n reduce fatty liver situation. Imaging also found a lymphonode behind the pancreas oval shaped of width 0.93cm and length 2.11cm. My mother is in a very good health condition. However, doctor asked for a CT scan... Any advice on this issue and if you could pls tell us more about the patterns of such lymphnodes and whether it can be of a concern..

what should to do ?
in there is an enlarged lymph node the cause of the enlargment shuld be known as soon as possible , so you shluld do further invistigation , and if the cause due to inflammation you can use the antibiotics like broad spectrum antibiotics like Levofloxacin 750mg once daily for 7 days , and if the cause due to malignancy the treatment depends on the type and site and stage
Diagnosis :
By taking full medical history and Doing CBC to detect inflammation and mesure the pancreatic enzymes and liver enzymes , and tumer marker CEA , and doing abdomial MRI , and take biopsy from the node
