My baby had congenital diaphragmatic hernia and was repaired by surgery after two days of birth. Now she is 3 years of age and she was diagnosed with pneumonia and she is got the medication for that. The doctor told to take an x ray of chest and is doubtful a diaphragmatic hernia. Is this at high risk.

Treatment
Pneumonia is one of the complications of diaphragmatic hernia , as it may cause the food to return back to the pharynx and enter the respiratory airways. The surgery have chance to recurrent so he may still have diaphragmatic hernia .
Pnemonia usually treated by antibiotics and fluid in 1 -2 weeks .
Diagnosis
Made by clinical examinations and imaging like X ray & CT scan , for chest and abdomen .
