My baby had congenital diaphragmatic hernia and...
My baby had congenital diaphragmatic hernia and was repaired two days after birth by surgery. She is 3 years old and has been diagnosed with pneumonia and she got medication for that. Doctor told to take an x ray of chest and is doubtful of diaphragmatic hernia. Is it repairable or at high risk?

Treatment
Pneumonia is one of the complications of diaphragmatic hernia , as it may cause the food to return back to the pharynx and enter the respiratory airways. The surgery have chance to recurrent so he may still have diaphragmatic hernia .
Pnemonia usually treated by antibiotics and fluid in 1 -2 weeks .
Is it reparable ?
It depends on the case and the surgeon opinion but if confirmed he may need another operation

Made by clinical examinations and imaging like X ray & CT scan , for chest and abdomen .
