Treatment of prolonged period :
the treatment depends on the cause and to know the cause you should visit the gynecologist and doing clinical examination , you can use Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Ibuprofen 600mg 2 times daily which is the first line medical therapy for heavy and prolonged bleeding , and you can use oral contraceptive pills which is ahormonal therapy for homonal imbalance and Progestin which is the most frequently prescribed medicine for heavy and prolonged bleeding
Diagnosis :
By taking full medical history and doing clinicla examination and CBC to detect infalmmation and measure the LH , FSH levels and thyroid hormone TSH and doing Ultrasound on the pelvis
