Treatment of malaria?
Malaria is an infection tranmitted by mosquitos and it's treatment depends on the severity of the disease. In severe malaria, the treatment will be carried out in the hospital and includes intavenous fluids, antipyretics such as paracetamol IV and antimalarial agents such as artesunate IV. If the disease is not severe, then a combination of antimalarial agents can be used which includes artemisinin. The second medication could be either mefloquine, lumefantrine, or sulfadoxine/pyrimethamine. Furthermore, quinine along with doxycycline can be used if artemisinin is not available.

Diagnosis of malaria:
History taking and physical examination of the patient by the doctor. CBC to check the hemoglobin and WBC. Microscopic examination of the patient's blood (Blood smear).

Clinical presentaion of malaria:
Symptoms of malaria are nonspecific and may include:

• High fever
• Headache
• Malaise and fatigue
• Muscle and joint ache
• Diarrhea
• Anemia
• Others
