Sinusitis treatment:
- It is recommended to follow some tips such as rinsing the nose with salt and water more than once during the day, avoiding exposure to dust, dirt, and cigarette smoke, placing a towel with warm water on the face, and breathing through it, with the use of an anti-histamine such as Fexodine 180 mg one pill before bed or Leukast one pill before bed For 10 days, and the use of a nasal spray such as fluticasone spray twice daily for ten days to relieve nasal congestion in addition to an antibiotic such as Azithromycin 500 mg once daily for five days, and for migraine headache, sumatriptan can be used 50 mg one tablet daily
How is the diagnosis made?
- Diagnosis is made based on symptoms, medical history, clinical examination, and running some tests such as x-rays and CT scans of the sinuses, taking a swab from the nose, and culture for it to identify the bacteria causing the infection
