bone Fracture healing:

  • Bones take 6-12 weeks for healing to occur, and this depends on the location and severity of the fracture and the age of the patient as it takes less time in children than it takes in adults. In the first days after the fracture the body started to build the soft callus which  takes 4-6 weeks, and then the hard callus is formed to form new bone in this period and its formation ends within long weeks of up to 16 weeks, and finally, the bones are remodeled by osteoclasts that remove the extra bone cells and sculpt the bone correctly

Symptoms of fracture healing:

  • stop the pain
  • straight leg shape
  • Use the leg easily
  • no swelling
  • Range of Motion Increases
  • bruising decreases

Tips to speed up the healing process:

  • Increase calories in food
  • Eat enough protein
  • Eating an adequate amount of minerals such as calcium, phosphorous, and zinc, which are abundant in watercress, broccoli, spinach, parsley, nuts and grains, eggs, milk, fish, and honey
  • Adequate intake of vitamins such as vitamin D, vitamin C
  • dont depend on the fracutured leg in walking

Factors that delay bone healing and increase the risk of false healing:

  • Improper alignment of the bones during the fracture and after the cast
  • Bone shortening due to fracture
  • arthritis
  • excessive movement
  •  comminuted fractures
  • Dermatitis and wounds near the fracture
  • Old age and osteoporosis
  • Malnutrition

How long should I wait while trying to walk on two feet
Dear customer, if surgery was performed 3 weeks ago in the tibia fibula fracture, then we must wait for at least 3 more weeks for the total duration to be 6 weeks in order to try to put the foot on the ground and try to walk , Where it is possible to resort to doing some physical therapy for the leg area before starting the walking process in order to help walking and avoid complications while walking
