Treatment of tics:
Well, tics are not always need to be treated if they are mild, but treatments are available if they're severe or are interfering with everyday life. There are some advices that could improve your condition such as avoiding stress and anxiety, avoiding becoming too tired by getting enough rest and sleep. Also comperhensive behavioural therapy can also be used which involves learning a set of behavioural techniques to hep reduce tics. Furthermore, there are some medicines that can also be used such as risperidone, pimozide, clonidine and others.

It's not clear what causes tics. They're thought to be due to changes in the parts of the brain that control movement. However, they can run in families, and there's likely to be a genetic cause in many cases. They also often happen alongside other conditions, such as ADHD and OCD.
