What is Ozempic?
Ozempic (semaglutide) is similar to a hormone that occurs naturally in the body and helps control blood sugar, insulin levels and digestion.
Uses of this medication:
-As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus
-To reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.
Side effects:
- low blood sugar (in people with type 2 diabetes);
- upset stomach, heartburn, burping, gas, bloating;
- nausea & vomiting
- stomach pain
- loss of appetite
- diarrhea, or constipation
- headache & dizziness
- tiredness

It's recommended to see the internist for further assessment
