Treatment of external hemorrhoids :
The treatment includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen, anti inflammatory drugs containing Chymotrypsin and local treatment like ointments, suppository and creams containing corticosteroids, hydrocortisone and lidocaine in addition to the possibility of surgical treatment .
Diagnosis :
The diagnosis is made by taking full history, clinical examination of the patient, doing rectal examination and doing rectal and colon endoscopy .
Symptoms of external hemorrhoids :
- bleedind
- pain
- itching
- oedema
- inflammation
- pain during defecation
- difficultly in defecation
