Treatment :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining  the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen, cough suppressant and expectorants, antihistamines and corticosteroids  that help to releife cough and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection, in addition to the must of drinking plenty of fluids  .

Diagnosis :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP, levels of serum ferritin, LDH and D-dimer, taking sputum sample  and doing Chest xray and CT and doing PCR for Corona virus infection  .

- pneumonia

- asthma

- common cold

- influenza
