I have ear pain some times

Treatment of the ear pain :

The treatment is being decided according to the cause of your symptoms after doing investigations and medical examination and determining the cause and then the diagnosis and treatment are decided by the doctor .
The treatment also includes pain killers containing Paracetamol, non-steroidal anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen and anti inflammatory drugs containing Chymotrypsin  and antibiotics in case of bacterial infection, in addition to the possibility of surgical treatment .

Diagnosis of ear pain :

The diagnosis is made by taking full history and clinical examination of the patient, examination of the ear, hearing test, examination of the ear by otoscope and doing investigations including blood investigations like CBC, inflammatory and infection marks ESR and CRP .

Causes of ear pain :

- bacterial infection

- fungal infection

- viral infection 

- common cold

- influenza

- inflammation 

- Trauma

- ruptured eardrum
